At Motion Works Physiotherapy Centre, we have established programs for a variety of orthopedic surgeries including spinal surgeries, rotator cuff repairs, knee surgeries (ligament and cartilage), total hip, knee and shoulder replacements, fractures and dislocations. As well, we have therapists with expertise in plastic surgery involving the hand.

Home Visits

Home visits can be provided as required to clients living within the areas of Kanata, Carp, and Goulbourn. This early quick start program is designed for those clients whose mobility is significantly restricted thus interfering with their ability to attend active treatment within the clinic setting. Advice regarding safe positioning of the operated limb, pain relief, active and passive movements, early strengthening and functional training is provided. This phase of treatment is followed by an active rehabilitation in the clinic setting once the client is sufficiently mobile

Active Rehabilitation in the clinic facility

Our team of experienced physiotherapists is highly trained to provide a comprehensive active program to clients recovering from a variety of orthopedic surgeries. Our quick start early intervention program begins at home for clients whose mobility is significantly restricted. This early stage of treatment is followed by an intensive active rehabilitation within our facility. Our fully equipped Medical Exercise Therapy gym provides the ideal setting to allow clients to safely progress through the stages of post-operative rehabilitation process.We maintain a close working relationship with the various orthopedic surgeons, providing progress reports (at each follow up visit). Our post surgical rehabilitation program has proven to be highly successful with our clients and their surgeons

Clinic Setting

Post surgical treatment is available to clients of all ages in a very friendly and supportive atmosphere. The clinic is equipped with a variety of electrical modalities designed to relieve the pain and inflammation following surgery while promoting good healing. As well, the clinic is fully equipped with a bright and spacious Medical Exercise Therapy Gym. This specialized equipment, direct from Norway, allows for safe and effective strength, mobility and functional retraining following surgery.
