Preventative
Massage is part of a growing trend of alternative approaches in preventative medicine. Many people are finding a balance of exercise, nutrition and reduction of stress helps reduce the risk of injury and chronic pain and enhances enjoyment of lifestyle. People find that massage helps them relax physically, allowing them to better manage the stress in their lives.
Many extended health care plans provide partial or full coverage of the cost for massage therapy.
Sports massage
In sports, massage therapy is beneficial to improve muscle flexibility and manage muscle stiffness and pain as a result of training for sport, competition and when recovering from injury or chronic pain syndromes. Massage therapy is beneficial to people of all ages.
